Today I was interviewed by Senia, a smart, hyper, and cute 10 year old little girl that loves chocolate, science, reading, and the (☮) peace sign. Her blog covers tween and teen topics, parenting tips, as well as artwork, photos, videos, book reviews, and other cool things.
Senia: Why do you like to meditate?
Dr Lesley: Meditation changed my life. It helped me to get in touch with who I am and what I believe about what is right for me. It has also helped me cope with stressful situations in my life…
Today we visit “My Guilty Obsession” for a chat about writing and the Midas Tree with “Ali Kindlemom” – a self confessed book lover, reader and blogger (My Guilty Obsession).
Welcome to Many Anderson’s blog, which is dedicated to Indie Authors because she believes that there are so many talented authors that deserve more recognition. Thank you Mandy for your support! Today I write about how I hope The Midas Tree will benefit teachers, parents and children.
Today we visit one of the blogs of “Spiritual Superhero KB.”She says “Living with joy begins with remembering your true identity as a spiritual being, and that as a spiritual being, you have the ability to harness the creative power of your mind to optimize every aspect your life, including your career, finances, relationships, and physical body.”
I could not agree more! KB offered me a post on her angel reading site, where she does a daily blog post on her “card of the day”. I thought this was a great opportunity to introduce you to one of the Devas of The Midas Tree.
A Beautiful Mess was birthed out a group of women coming together and sharing about their authentic journeys. Since then, it has grown to include many more people looking for a safe place to be themselves. Kristin Ritzau is the executive director of the blog and she is passionate about helping people feel at home with each other, Spirit and themselves.
As the blog was described to me as a place for recovering perfectionists, I thought I would share some meditation tips for letting go of the need to be perfect.

Carla Nobrega is a bibliophile and she loves books. When contemplating what to write about for my guest post on her blog I was inspired by this quote from George Bernard Shaw. “Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will.” So I thought I would share what I learned about creativity from my experience writing The Midas Tree.
Rachel Rofe, the owner of Your Best Meditation.com, is a traveler, marketer, and lover of adventure. She started meditating a few years ago, while living in Brazil, and has REALLY enjoyed the benefits of meditation since then. With regular meditation, Rachel reports feeling more calm, at peace, relaxed… and having a greater sense of “knowing”.
These days people’s first experience with meditation may be because they are looking for a way to reduce stress and increase health. Yet meditation is also a way to connect with spirit. It is a tool used by spiritual practitioners, who wanted access to that sense of inner knowing that Rachel is talking about.

Join me for a guided meditation on Evan’s blog today
Katie, who owns this blog is mad about books. She reads any chance she gets. and is a diehard romantic.
As Katie adores romance novels, Fairytale “retellings” and Beauty and the Beast themed books, I decided to contribute a post that discusses The Midas Tree and ask the questions “must there be romance in a fairy tale?” and “does the romance in the fairy tale have a deeper spiritual meaning?”
Today I am delighted to bring you a book review by Carline Begin. The Midas Tree is Book of the Month for October 2012 for her website. Here is what she had to say:-
“Children and adults will enjoy Joshua’s adventures as he leaves the Garden of Light to enter a mysterious door in the trunk of a tree. As Joshua explores different areas of the Midas Tree, he’ll encounter many of its magical creatures.
The Midas Tree is inhabited by real animals (woodpeckers, spiders, birds, bees, etc.) and Devas — fairy-like creatures who play essential roles within the tree and who also teach Joshua analogous spiritual lessons.”
Today, on the Virtual Book Tour, we visit the blog of Melissa Thayer. Melissa, who is a psychologist and loves to read, especially anything in the YA genre, as she says there’s a part of her that will never grow up.
I know that feeling Melissa! In truth we are ageless. We are eternal spiritual beings, and we don’t have just one life, we have many. Melissa thought her readers would be interested in a post on past lives. I hope you enjoy it too…
I am delighted today to be taking you on a visit to the blog of fantasy author Jenny Keller Ford. She is the author of “In the Shadow of the Dragon King,” and has a new short story coming soon called “The Amulet of Ormisez.” We will feature an article by Jenny about this in December, so stay tuned…
A few people have told me that The Midas Tree reminds them of a modern day fairy story. As you will know if you have been following me, the book was written as a spiritual download and so I did not set out to fit into any specific genre. So I thought it would be fun to do some reading about fairy tales and compare them to The Midas Tree. My conclusion? …

They say life begins at 40, and Karen Cripps is hoping ‘they’ are right. Her website is all about how she is reinventing herself into someone new and exciting and sparkly and amazing and… well… well, who knows…
Eight years ago Karen became ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. She went from the fast lane (think career girl, big job, studying MBA, gym bunny, busy social life) to a rather slower lane; now she is a reinventing herself into a freelance writer.
So I shared my transformation journey from a biotech business executive to a meditation teacher, healer and clairvoyant and I ask a question that I already know the answer to.
As a doctor of transpersonal psychology, Jonni Gray is a spiritual modern meditation teacher, and past-life regression trainer, who offers current energy wisdom & guidance at the intersection of psychology & spirituality. She says “Everything I do involves expanding your consciousness I want you to be fully aware of all that you are, and the choices you have in life.”
I recently found out that the tree is a symbol that has great meaning to Jonni. It is an ancient symbol with roots in the myths and legends of many people and races. Today’s article explores whether there is a common thread that runs through all of these, with a message for modern times.
Lexi Yoga is a site about all things yoga. Lexi, the owner, says yoga is her life purpose. She feels alive as she practices it, especially during stressful and challenging times; she wants to share her information about how yoga can help with others.
Yoga is an ancient system for harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit. While it is not a religion, it can be used as a path for spiritual opening. The yoga path includes exercise, breathing, relaxation, diet and meditation. So I thought it would be fun to offer a guest article on how yoga is meditation.
Tasleem Bhanjee can’t shut up about natural foods. She lives to research about the latest trends, experiment with foods, gush on them and lecture anyone with a speck of interest in this topic. Her purpose is to share this passion with you. Her blog, focuses on natural food trends through interviews, recipes and reviews.
I was delighted when Tasleem approached me to discuss conscious eating in the context of The Midas Tree. In answering her questions I came to realize that food appears a lot throughout the book. And why not, learning to look after your body is a major part of learning to operate as spirit in the physical world.
Caitlin, the YA Bookworm, is a teenage high school student, novice blogger, and dedicated bookworm. She loves to read, write, and daydream about fictional boys. She says “books give me the chance to become someone entirely different where I can deal with someone else’s’ problems. Like worrying about being eaten alive by a vampire.” Thank you Caitlin for giving me the opportunity to introduce “The Midas Tree” to all your fellow bookworms!
Jennifer Wright is a mother of five, military wife, reading junkie, and author of The Birth of Jaiden, a paranormal/urban fantasy novel about a child with the power to destroy the world, who is protected by a one-hundred-year-old vampire. The suspense rests on whether he can resist his vampire tendencies to care for a human baby, As well as the many battles he faces to ensure the safety of this very special child.
As a new writer in the YA genre, I was curious to learn that many young people have an attraction to the darker side of life and with the battle between good and evil. So I explored why this might be in the guest article I shared with Jennifer Malone Wright and her readers.
Deanna Proach is a writer, based in Sechelt, BC. Her blog is about writing, everyday life and updates regarding the process of her books. Her book “To be Maria” is available on Kindle, Nook and on PULSEpub.net ( in EPUB and PDF formats).
As my process for writing is to disengage my intellect and tune into my intuition, I thought that would be a great subject for a guest blog on De’s site.
is an on-line motivational company that focuses on helping people find the best solutions to their life challenges. They have expert articles on a range of topics from fitness, finances, employment to health and wellness. They invited me to submit an article to the “Get God” Section of their website. I thought it might be fun to do an article about how meditation can help you to connect with the unique concept of God that is right for you.
